Sandy Onoh, who represents Cross River Central Senatorial District in Nigeria’s Senate, has described the Bolé (roasted plantain served with peppered sauce) prepared and marketed by Tina Ofem nicknamed “the international Bolé girl” as “fantastic bolé”, after he had a taste of Tina’s delicacy in his National Assembly office, Abuja.
Onoh who interacted exclusively with www.calitown.com, shortly after the meal, also maintained that Tina’s “initiative is a great one; this is a young woman with an enterprising spirit.” He expressed satisfaction with what the young lady is doing and especially said, “I am proud of her as my constituent and will do all in my power to support her grow.
While urging youths to take a cue from what she is doing and create some form of self reliant employment, the senator wants Tina to “…continue to stay focused, reinvent and rebrand and generally fly on the wings of resilience.”
A visibly elated Tina took to social media after serving the senator her trademark bolé and wrote: “It been God’s grace for me and I celebrate every win….I stepped my foot here in Abuja and knew someday Aso Rock will have a taste of my delicacy, now the Red Chamber has had a taste of it. …Yesterday the senator representing my constituency, Sen. Sandy Onor patronized my fish platter and I have been so excited. All the way from Calabar to Abuja and beyond, I will make exploits….”
