The commendation was made by the Bekwarra PDP caucus leader, Clement Oshaka and contained in a mail sent to www.calitown.com. Oshaka was
specific that “whatever imperfections that may have been thrown up in the course of the elections will only serve to leave us with lessons to learn from and so improve the entire election process”. He also added that the turn out of voters is a clear indication that
“democracy as a system of governance has been consciously embraced for our collective good as a nation”.
On the overwhelming victory of his party the PDP winning, the caucus leader maintained that, “it is not in doubt that our party’s gubernatorial candidate has the kind of mass appeal that no other party’s candidate has. He has outlined with clear specifics what he will do for our dear state and I am quite convinced that those in their numbers who have painstakingly voted for Ben Ayade are in agreement that he has the moral consciousness and capacity to succeed as governor of Cross River State”, he concluded.
