The Labour Party in Cross River State says as a credible alternative in the state, a just platform has been created within the party’s internal framework to ensure that the processes leading up to her primaries are not only free and fair, but accommodate more, the real yearnings and aspirations of the people. In a statement sent to www.calitown.com and signed by the state Chairman, Austin Ibok, the party further vowed to present to Cross Riverians candidates who are fully prepared, competent and are passionate and responsive to the real needs of the people, to vie for elective positions in the forthcoming polls.
Ibok’s statement adds that, “convinced too that the outcome of the 2015 polls will reflect more, the individual and not so much of the party, we are unfazed by the activities of other parties whose processes have seen her disintegrate to abysmal levels. Cross Riverians do have the opportunity to act and choose wisely or blame no one after now; their choices must indeed be what they embrace and not what the establishment compels them to choose”.
