Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, the member representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, has confirmed to www.calitown.com that he recently gave employment to 21 persons in his constituency to practically demonstrate his commitment to fulfilling the post-election promises he made to his people.
On the line from Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, Jarigbe also informed that “the salaries of these people will be paid from my pocket. I have elected to do this, instead of going to buy houses abroad or pay for vacations; those who have elected us must begin to feel our impact. Agreed, this gesture of mine may not solve all of the problems of my people, but it will help put food on the table of various families. I am committed to doing more and God will grant me the grace to address several teething issues that confront my people”.
Among those appointed are, Yakubu Adamu and Amobi Oluzulike, to interface with the Muslim and non-indigent communities in the area, as well as Ignatius Oli, Okwoche Timothy Eba, Emmanuel Odidi, among others.
