Glory Asuquo, a Cross River State law graduate of the University of Calabar, who early this year made a passionate appeal through www.calitown.com, soliciting for funds to pay her Nigerian Law School fees, has with a heart of gratitude, told www.calitown.com that, “God will bless all those who made cash contributions and made my dream of finally attending the Nigerian Law School a reality.”
The daughter of a physically challenged father, Glory, speaking through this platform in January, 2024, said: “… this is my appeal to my fellow citizens. I have graduated from the University of Calabar under the Faculty of Law since 2021. My physically challenged father and my mum, who is a petty trader have tried to see me through this far…I have no godfather but you fellow Nigerians are my godfather. Please I need your financial support, no matter how small it is.” A torrent of donations followed this appeal.
Asuquo who spoke exclusively with www.calitown.com from the Lagos campus of the Nigerian Law School, further prayed that, “God will grant good health to all those who supported me as well as water and make their endeavours fertile.”
“For the massive love showed me, let me assure people out there who may be going through the kind of difficulty and frustration that I went through, when I couldn’t attend Law School, God works in mysterious ways, you can never tell the day of his visitation. He passes through men just like in my case to bless those he has chosen to bless, He will come to your aid too, soon”, she said.
Additionally, “I’ll try my best to make everybody proud and may God bless and keep my parents for me; they must surely eat the fruit of their labour”.
