Chief of Staff to Cross River State governor, Martin Orim, says nobody but God deserves credit for seeing Gov. Ben Ayade through the first four years of his administration of Cross River State and strongly believes that God will see the governor through his second term.
Orim who expressed this view in Calabar, maintained further that not many people understand and appreciate the challenges that the state governor constantly contended with in his first four years in office. “For these challenges, my principal was able to surmount them through divine intervention. He is a man who stoutly believes in God and when most of these challenges pop up, he humbly seeks the face of God and when God unbundles those challenges, it proves to us all that his God is alive and active.”
The governor’s aide who also appreciated the good people of the state for massively voting his principal in for a second term in office, pleaded that patience should be the watchword as Gov. Ayade is sworn-in for a second term.
He came clear too that more than ever before, Ayade’s clear cut policies will be logically driven to a positive conclusion and urged Cross Riverians to pray for and support the governor as he begins a second term of four years. “It is in our collective interest to support His Excellency because Cross River State is what we all have and the governor will surpass expectations if we support him. I understand too that some people out there may disagree with the governor; it is normal but please let those who disagree, disagree constructively and not do it for the fun of it. See, leadership is not a walk in the park.”
He also expressed appreciation to the media in the state for being properly awake to her responsibilities in the face of reportorial challenges and promised that just like his principal has done in the past, he will continue to create a conducive environment for the local press to thrive.
