Nigeria’s First Lady’s Office, has issued a statement to the effect that Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi and his wife, Judith, have not condoled with the first family on the demise of the First Lady’s ‘mother’.
In a statement released by Ayo Adesugba, Director of Information in the First Lady’s Office, and made available to calitown.com, the Office stated that, “for the avoidance of doubt, neither the Rivers State governor or his wife, has come to Abuja like so many other people from all walks of life to condole with the First Family”.
But in what can be described as a swift reaction and a new twist to the Jonathan/Amaechi saga, the Amaechi camp may have released pictures to debunk the allegation. In the pictures released, Dame Judith Amaechi is shown, signing a condolence register in the First Lady’s home in Port Harcourt. Another picture released show Dame Jonathan and Dame Amaechi’s wife, walking side by side, recently.
It is becoming clear that the Jonathan/Amaechi feud is not about to end.
