De Norsemen Kclub of Nigeria has expressed worry over the continued criminal detention of former Yakurr Council boss, Ubi Itam Ettah, more than a week after he was abducted by unknown persons and taken away from the premises of one of his business concerns in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, Cross River State, to an unknown location.
Mike Omini who pilots the affairs of Crosslina Flotilla, the branch of the organization in Ugep, maintained in a statement currently in circulation, that “…the criminal abduction and detention of Ubi Itam Ettah, is condemnable and unacceptable. It is even worse when you consider that those holding him have not so far demonstrated any desire to release him unharmed to his family, who continue to bear the pain and agony of his absence.”
He went further to say that, “security agents assigned the task of unraveling this abduction must demonstrate, in deed, a clear desire to apprehend his abductors and deliver Ettah, popularly known as Bomboy, to his family and the larger Ugep community.”
“Members of the public who have relevant information that can assist security agents, must please make such information available and on time too as this is a key component that can help in solving this crime.”
Omini assured the family of Ettah that the organization “will continue to pray that your bread winner will be released unharmed to you. This is a trying period and we must not lose hope in the face of this unfortunate situation. We expressly call on the government of Cross River State to leave no stone unturned in getting to the root of this matter”, the concluding part of the statement said.
