On the heels of the recent resignation from office of Effiom Trombone, Cross River State chairman of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN, the National Executive Council of the association, in a letter dated January 12, 2017 and signed by Perry Okafor, National President and Kenny A. George, Secretary General, has confirmed the appointment of a seven-member Executive Committee, to oversee the activities of PMAN in the state for one year.
In the letter made available to www.calitown.com, Omin Nyong, better known as Spydaman, will chair the Exco in line with the constitution of the association. Nyong will be assisted by Beauty John (Supa Girl) who will function as Treasurer, while Patrick Effiom will serve as Secretary. Further, Emem Kingsley is the new Public Relations Officer, Ededem Archibong, Provost, while Kenneth Charles and Oyono Jackson will serve as Welfare Officers.
“By this appointment, you are vested with the responsibility of running and overseeing the affairs of PMAN and the co-ordination of all activities of musicians in Cross River State”, the letter states.
Nyong, when contacted by www.calitown.com said he accepted the opportunity to serve PMAN and considers his appointment a “great honour to act in this capacity…and will do everything within his ablilty to drive the association forward.
