Jarigbe who made the condemnation when he visited displaced families from the community currently seeking refuge in Amana, Becheve and Obudu Mountains Resort in Cross River State, promised the victims that he will call the attention of all necessary government agencies in Nigeria for the deployment of adequate security, while encouraging the victims to remain united especially during Christmas and beyond.
While promising on-the-spot medical intervention to cushion the effect of the displacement, he donated 50 bags of rice and a cash sum of N2 million to the victims to help them have a feel of Christmas.
The community in her response, overwhelmingly appreciated the senator’s visit, especially that he is the first politician to have remembered them when he facilitated the installation of solar street lights in their community.
