Aniyom gave the directive during the Ministerial Management meeting held at the Ministry’s Conference Room in Calabar. He stated that the purpose of the directive was to encourage Cross Riverians to go into oil palm production since the state has long keyed into the Agricultural Transformation Agenda of the Federal Government and that it has accordingly become necessary to fast track the transformation through the free distribution of oil palm seedlings to farmers.
The Commissioner lauded the Agricultural Policies of state governor, Liyel Imoke, which he said was empowering youths and women in particular, through the provision of free Agricultural inputs and loans to farmers. Aniyom therefore called on youths to reciprocate the good gesture of the State Government and take advantage of its Agricultural policies for their own good.
